Today is the Dia del Maestro here in México and I would sincerely like to thank Hector for his excellent instruction, eternal patience, and ever-present good humor.
We are still only beginners but we have come a long way in a few short months.
Thank you!

May 15, 2008The two of you continue to be my “move to Mexico” models. I keep trying to devote more time to studying spanish, but everything else seems to press it out. I hate waiting until I get there. But I learn very little up here.

May 16, 2008Hola Hugo, thank you for reading! Yes, Hector is excellent and the world should know it!
Steve, spend as much time as you can on your Spanish, it will really help you hit the ground running. I really think the Michel Thomas CDs really gave us the groundwork without a ton of work, really. Of course we had pretty long commutes to work so we made good use of the time with the CDs.

May 21, 2008I see from the whiteboard you’re into the habias and hubieras. Preteritos perfectos, etc. etc. Me too! There’s a good rundown on them at don Quijote’s free lesson website. Good luck with that!
