Poco a poco (or little by little)

There has been a lot going on in our lives since I last wrote a blog post. Buyers put a contract on our house just a few weeks after it was put on the market.  That was great news!  But then the real work started.  We needed to figure out what to keep and what to sell, and all without a plan for where we were going to live.  That’s hard! Easter Week in Mazatlán

Easter Week or Semana Santa is a beach holiday for most Mexicans. With the new Mazatlán – Durango highway there are more people enjoying the beach here than ever, with the expectation being around 500,000 visitors. The picture at the top of the post is from yesterday – I took a bike ride and liked how the lifeguards, Marina, and...

Semana Santa at the Beach

Semana Santa at the beach is a pretty amazing adventure. People watching is the order of the day. We arrived at our favorite palapa restaurant around 11 and the beach was more busy than usual. But by 2 pm, it was packed.   The beach vendors were out in force…here are mangos on a stick. …and ice cream… …and pastries… The lifeguards were keeping an eye on everything… …while Paul and Jessica shared a meal of grilled fish… Some people...
