A Mazatlán Sunset

January 10, 2013

Mazatlán is an amazing place for sunsets. Every single night the sunset is absolutely beautiful. This is true. The picture above is from last night, a chilly evening by our standards, but a lovely one. I took a lot of pictures as we walked along the malecón, the sky changing by the moment. It was hard to decide which photo to share with you as they are all gorgeous.

Mazatlán is starting to get ready for Carnaval, and it seems no matter where you go there is a beautiful Candidate for Carnaval Queen somewhere nearby. We enjoyed watching this lovely young woman being interviewed at the Pedro Infante monument, right as the sun was about to set. Pretty nice, I’d say.

    1. Absolutely stunning. I believe that was one of the best sunsets ever. I have posted my shots on my blog today.

    1. In DF on Tuesday, we had an absolutely SPECTACULAR sunrise over Iztaccíhuatl and Popocatépetl, which has been spewing fumes and smoke lately. But as with all things of beauty, it was fleeting, and 20 minutes later, the sun emerged from behind the volcanoes, bright, but grey.

      Enjoy the fleeting moments.
