Shopping for things I can’t find in Mazatlán

When I travel – whether it’s to the US or within México – I always think about shopping for items I can’t find here in Mazatlán. This post is a rundown of some of the things I brought back with me this time. When I fly North I always pack a fold-up duffle bag which then becomes my overflow and can be carried on. I Love Spring in Mazatlán

I love the change of seasons, especially from Winter to Spring. As you’ll see above, we get a lot of fog in the mornings.  This morning the fog made everything so wet it seemed like it had rained. Why else do I love the Spring here? Even though it is warming up the air still has that lovely cool undercurrent. It’s the end of the growing season here…but I am growing cantelope melons – they should like the upcoming hot...

Crashed out Coco…

Our newest pack member, Coco, is about a year old now, and has been living with us since June.  She has a delightful personality, and we love her to bits!  Henry and she are best buddies and wrestle and play and sleep together all day long. But at night, Coco crashes out.  If we sit down to watch TV she hurls herself at one of us (usually Paul as I like to knit) and conks out almost immediately. She crashes...

Goodbye, Lucy.

It’s been coming for a while now, but today we knew it was time to put Lucy to sleep.  She has been on a fast slide over the last few months, and a neurological disorder that kept her legs from getting instructions made it nearly impossible for her to walk and made her incontinent.  The last few days have been very hard for all of us.
