Sailing on Sunday

October 1, 2007

Yesterday we went sailing on the Patricia Belle with a group of about a dozen put together by our realtor. The Patricia Belle is an 82 foot schooner – on Fridays and Sundays they take people out sailing just for tips – around 100-200 pesos each.

It was such a fun time I know it will be a regular event for us – or for sure anyway when we have people here visiting.

We sailed out at 3:30 and returned at 6. It was great to talk, listen to the music, watch the birds, and gaze out at the water. I even went up to the bow and laid in the net thing (not sure what it’s called) out over the water. It was heavenly.

Later on Paul and I went to the Plazuela Machado for dinner and to enjoy some bench sitting like many other couples and families. The air was fresh and we spent some time talking to a man that we met on the sailboat.

Pertty much a perfect Sunday.

    1. Glad you got out on the Patricia Belle already, wait until whale season! Going out on her with Brad and the crew is one of our favorite ways to enjoy an afternoon. It’s funny that Erin is your realtor, we know her as well (I am assuming it is the same Erin I know—-red hair?!)
