This is true. My hairdresser, the famous and talented Deb from Tippy Toes, says so. A couple days ago she said “This is so strange, it is like you have two heads. The front part is pretty much like your old hair but the back….it is truly somebody else’s head.”
Well, maybe somebody else’s hair?
Check it out. The front part is normal. The back, curly and crazy. Who knows if it will stay like this as it’s only been six months since I finished chemotherapy.
Like the snappy tabloid headline? Me, too.

October 19, 2013I’ve heard of that a lot. My friend had straight blond hair, and after chemo it came in black and curly. Then she lost that and it came in a beautiful white and curly. That’s what stayed, it was very pretty.

October 19, 2013My straight hair came in very curly after chemo. Two years after finishing treatments, it is once again “my hair.” Sometimes I even miss the curls.

October 19, 2013Seriously, if I hadn’t been reading your blog through the whole chemo experience, it’d be hard to convince me you had even gone through it. You now look vital and incredibly healthy, hair and both heads included!

October 19, 2013It looks like my hair in the back! One of my friends who had chemo used to have coarse curly hair, the bane of her life. After chemo, it grew back as her dream hair. Eventually it reverted back to “normal” but she looked at it as a small consolation prize.

Theresa
ps coconut oil is great on curly hair. It’s not too heavy and makes the hair shiny and separates the curls.

October 20, 2013Well my friend I’d take whatever hair I could get and your looks great. Deb is fabulous and I so need to see her to repair what happened to me here in Canada this summer.

October 21, 2013Nancy – it might just come with age. I’ve noticed that mine is curlier than it was. Getting older is enough to curl anybody’s hair.

October 21, 2013I was going to make a joke about al MEN having two heads (and 90% make their decisions with the small one)but thought better of it…this being a G-rated blog and all. ; – ]

October 22, 2013My friend in Minnesota also had this happen to her, 3 times that I know of. Fine, straight hair pre-chemo, and thick, darker curly hair after. Yours looks terrific!

October 22, 2013Hi Everyone! Thanks so much for your comments! And I think it’s funny that except for Les, no one commented on the front head/back head hair which was what I was trying to be funny about! Gives me a laugh anyway.
