Lucy and Henry don’t look too excited about it.
We’re made our reservations to return to Mazatlan in early May. This time we are going to rent a car so that we can explore every nook and cranny of the city and the surrounding countryside.
We’ll only be there a week, but we hope to make headway in locating a house for ourselves, the dogs Lucy and Henry, and our Yellow-Shouldered Amazon, Tiko. (his picture is below)
All of the projects I have been working on here are starting to come together, and we should be in good shape to put our house on the market when we get back.

March 12, 2007Hi Paul and Nancy, My wife and I have been following your blog for quite some time now. We are planning on the same thing (retiring in Mexico) although our retirement is still a few years off. We are starting the process of looking into alot of diffrent towns and cities there. We love Mazatlan for a place to visit and are also considering it for our retirement home (at least for starters) like the two of you are. I just read that you plan on being in Mazatlan during the early part of May. My wife and I plan on being there during the week of May 5th thru maybe the 11th. Your probably going to be on a very busy schedule, but it would be nice to be able to meet with you and buy you dinner at Pedro and Lola’s (also a nice place for breakfast across the square)and have a chat about all that you are going through and experiencing with the process. We are from the Oklahoma area and make frequent trips to various destinations throughout Mexico. We usually rent a car but in Mazatlan we love the open air cabs so much there is no need to. We would love to meet and chat and get your take on things (good and bad) about the entire process if it might possibly fit into your schedule while there?
