We are very lucky here in Mazatlán to be able to enjoy interesting international films in English every Tuesday night thanks to Mazatlán Film & Theater, but with the addition of play reading performances we are truly charmed.
Last night was the second (and last) performance of Crimes of the Heart by Beth Henley. Both performances were sold out, and the response was enthusiastically positive.
The venue is the 50 seat Cinematografo in the School for the Arts in the Plazuela Machado.
Starting next Tuesday, with two shows (5 pm and 7:30 pm) Mazatlán Film and Theater will return to showing films. I can hardly wait for the next play reading performances, but the dates aren’t set yet so I will just have to be patient. Please visit the Mazatlán Film and Theater website for more information.

November 18, 2011Contessa, I am so impressed what Ken has created… took it from just an idea to this… and it will grow, I am sure.
Steve, It is so fun to be a part of the development of a group like this – perhaps you could do the same in your town.
