It’s Almost a New Year

December 26, 2018

The end of each year is always an introspective time for me – and this year is no different.  It has been a year of changes as we sold our house in Mazatlán and moved to our new home in San Antonio Tlayacapan.

We had originally planned to move to México City after selling in Mazatlán but obviously nothing in life is certain and our plans needed to change.  Paul and I always think about how our luck has been good ever since we met twenty-one years ago and our luck held through this change, too.

I hadn’t realized how much I needed a break from the noise and soot and chaos of the city, and we feel so lucky to have found our little nest lakeside in San Antonio.  Every day we are thankful for the moderate climate and love watching the birds and enjoying the sunshine and quiet.  We’re making new friends and strengthening old friendships, too.

It has been a hard year in many ways, and I am hopeful that the coming year will ease the challenges we’ve faced. I have been saving memes (above) that I have helped me recently and thought you might like to read them, too.  You can page through them by clicking on the arrows to the right and left of the photos above.

I hope the new year is a happy one for all of you and I am looking forward to continued peace and happiness for us, too.

    1. This is a good opportunity for me to thank you for helping me put together a new diet and exercise regimen. You added the last piece that is making the task of dealing with my newly-discovered ailment far easier to manage and control. Now that you have moved, I have no excuse for not seeing the two of you in person. When Kim returns with his mother, I will do my best to get up there to see all of you. Thank you for what you have done this year. I hope yours will be a year of contentment.

      1. You’re welcome, Steve. I hope it works for you to head our way before too long. And good luck managing your ailment, too. Happy Holidays! Nancy
