Yesterday was Expo Canino ’09. We knew it was something to do with art and dogs and not much else. Below is a gallery of images from the Expo.
As always, we had issues with the time. Posters around town said 10 am to 10 pm. An item in the newspaper said it started at 3. We showed up around 4 or 4:30, and aside from a few artworks up nothing seemed to be going on. A friend said later that she was there at about 5 and it was about half set up. So it is another lesson for us in thinking Mexican – of course it wouldn’t start until 7 or so on Saturday night!
We came home and watched a movie and never did get back out to see all the action. Lesson learned.

March 8, 2009Once we went to a products of the Yucatan Expo at the Siglo 21, it started at 9am on Friday and ran until Sunday, we got there at 10 am on Friday, most of the booths were not even set up yet and didn’t look like there was anyone there to do it. Same thing with the state fair. We like to do stuff early in the day, we get to the fair at opening and most things are not open yet! I also think that most stores don’t even schedule staff until opening time, so the customers sometimes arrive before the staff.
