Household chores

April 28, 2008

When you live in a warm climate like Mazatlán, sandals are the order of the day. I think I have worn shoes maybe five times in the last seven months!

The streets are dusty and the dust and dirt gets everywhere, including your sandals!

So, when I get into the shower in the morning, most days I have a sandal scrubbing session before I actually shower myself! I have a scrub brush waiting for that purpose, and shampoo does a good job getting them clean.

It’s just one of the many things I had never thought about before we moved here.

Share and Enjoy !

    1. Great tip! With the dust blowing up here in the mountains now til the rainy season hits……I actually have on my “to do” list to clean sandals tomorrow – I’ll try your way…….

    1. I do that too! Well, I mainly just throw my dirty Crocs in the shower and by the time I’m done washing my hair they are pretty clean. I hadn’t thought about keeping a brush in there for shoes, that’s a good idea.

    1. What a coincidence: I finally decided this morning to shower with my Crocs ON and the drain plug in my rig closed up. They got clean with just a little scrubbing.

    1. Showering this morning with myself and my sandals was an altogether great “multi-tasking” experience!
      Thanks again for the tip…….
