We’re piliing in the car in an hour to head out on the road. We’re driving our rented minivan to Colima, where son Phil and his family are attending a wedding. We’ll stay the night there, and hopefully will get a good visit in with our other son Adam and his wife Martha, too.
Then we will say our goodbyes after a wonderful visit and Paul and I will head to Guadalajara for a couple of days. We’ll be looking for cool stuff for the house, relaxing in our in-room hot tub, checking out Sandi Books, and walking around Centro. I know there is a lot to see downtown, and I am really looking forward to the Mercado.
We have had such a nice time with Phil and the family. Of the three and a half days they’ve been here we spent two at the beach – one at Stone Island and one in Mazatlan. We went to the Venados game, which was so much fun. And, they won! We ate in the Plazuela and watched the Revolution Day parade. (see above) We hung around the house and lazed in the hammock. We ate Red Vines and Hot Tamales. (thanks, guys!) It has been wonderful.
So now I had better finish packing and get the house sorted out. See you later!

November 20, 2008What fun you folks are having! Guadalajara! The Mercado! I was last there at the Mercado in the mid-sixties, spent three days wandering (and spending and eating) and it was awesome then, can’t wait to see what you think of it.

November 22, 2008Bliss,
Paul and I went down to the Mercado this morning at 9 and it was just starting to wake up! We’ll go back later, seems like it will be incredible.
Beth, We are loving it here, lots to see and do.
Michael, Thanks, we are! And thank you for watching the birds for us! We went to the game on Tuesday night, they won 3-0. They lost Wednesday so we picked the right night to go!
