Christmas around here. Paul and I are usually a bit indifferent to decorating for the season.  Two years ago we didn’t decorate the house and only at the last minute decided to buy each other gifts.  Last year we put up a few decorations we’d bought in Guadalajara the month before, but it was very minimal. Excuses, excuses

I know I have been a bad blogger lately, but in wintertime there is just so much going on!  And not just social stuff, either.  I actually got some energy for a total redo of my office and sewing stuff and one of our guest rooms.  And after that I sewed myself a new blouse.  (Which, unfortunately, I don’t really like.) In winter activities like moving furniture and sitting at the sewing machine are possible to do without any discomfort...

Our Last Snowy Winter

This is a picture of the front piece of our property. Kind of looks like a Christmas card, doesn’t it? We’ve had snow on the ground for the last week, and another snowstorm hit this morning. Paul is working from home…the weatherman says it will turn to rain by this afternoon. We really hope it does since we have to pick up Paul’s daughter at the airport this afternoon. It hardly seems possible that we could be hoping for rain!...
