Friday night party

I think Moto Week is my favorite event of the year in Mazatlán.  It is just such a happy time, all the bikers and those watching are having so much fun! This afternoon is the parade, so we’re not done with Moto Week yet!...

Moto week is lots of fun

Vamos a la playa

Everyone is at the beach today.  I mean everyone. The picture at the top of this post is one of Mazatlán’s busiest and craziest streets – Ejército Mexicano.  It is usually something like 4 – 7 lanes (if you have driven in México, you know what I mean) and packed with cars.  We make an effort to avoid it at all cost… but how about that picture?  Empty. Back from the mall

Paul and I just got back from a shopping trip to Guadalajara. We took the bus so it was a very relaxing trip. Six and a half hours to knit and listen to my audio book was a pleasant way to travel. We stayed in Tlaquepaque at the boutique hotel Quinta Don Jose, where we have stayed before. April wildlife adventures

Every April there are a couple of weeks where the termite hatch is on.  When we were new here we were surprised one night when jillions of these flying critters invaded our well-lit home.  We asked our housekeeper what they were and she said they are “things that go to the light.”  Now we know that we just turn out the lights for about 15 minutes and they find some other light to go to and not bother us.  They...
